Bryan Lopez started YLS Cleaning Solutions because he thought the cleaning most people were getting was not very good, and he thought he could do it better if he simply showed up when he said he would.
That is still the whole strategy. In every year since, the company has grown — about eighteen percent a year for the last four — and it has never once bought an advertisement. Every customer came from another customer.
Today YLS cares for roughly forty homes and businesses across Milwaukee County. It is deliberately not a franchise. There is no call center, no regional manager, and no script. There is a small crew who have been here a while, and an owner who still works.
What we are trying to be: the company people quietly recommend. Not the biggest, not the cheapest. The one you are a little reluctant to share because you do not want us to get too busy for you.
